AW-Energy Oy is a Finland-based company developing oscillating wave surge converter - technology. The company has the highest technology readiness level in surge-based wave energy technology globally. The first proof-of-concept device was installed over 20 years ago, and several larger-scale demonstration units have been established since.
Krüger A/S, part of the Veolia Group, specializes in waste water treatment through their STAR Utility Solutions platform. The platform generates savings for its users and maximizes the value of their waste water processes. Prosys developed an Amazon Web Services based OPC UA solution to the data integration needs of the Krüger STAR Utility Solutions platform.
Teledyne FLIR designs, develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes technologies that enhance perception and awareness. Organization brings innovative sensing solutions into daily life through our thermal imaging, visible-light imaging, video analytics, measurement and diagnostic, and advanced threat detection systems. The entire Flux server is written in Java code, supporting both Windows and Linux operating systems. Prosys OPC UA SDK for Java library was used to add an OPC UA interface to the Flux server with minimum effort.
NextNine’s mission is to improve the performance of its customers’ service organizations via automated, proactive, remote product service. NextNine Virtual Support Engineer (VSE) is a Java based software that is extremely flexible and can be “programmed” to monitor various components of the supported product, including applications, operating systems, databases and network components. Prosys OPC UA Java SDK was the choice of NextNine for implementing an OPC UA client within the VSE.
At Valio, product quality and traceability requirements are at a very high level, highlighting the importance of smooth and reliable communication between different production systems. To meet these requirements, Prosys developed the OPC UA standard based software Valio uses for integrating all their automation and manufacturing execution systems.
The Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) is IFAE’s (The Institute for High Energy Physics) advanced facility for ground based very-high-energy gamma ray astronomy. OPC UA communication is used by all subsystems of the telescope to reduce the integration effort of the whole system. Among all the different solutions, IFAE tried different implementations of the OPC UA protocol and found the Prosys OPC UA Java SDK to be the most complete.
Intelligent Mud Solutions AS of Norway (IMS) provides continuous real-time analysis of drilling fluids primarily for the oil and gas drilling industry. Their RheoSense© equipment is installed at-line to the main drilling fluid process to analyse the drilling fluid being pumped into and out of the well. The patented technology is able to convert pressure measurements to rheological data "on the fly" and produce timestamped data into an OPC UA server for their clients to access locally or remotely.

They investigate the theoretical and technological limits of current and future power systems and components, considering the changing operating environment. This includes the large-scale introduction of renewable energy sources and the application of state-of-the-art digital technologies.

Centria’s R&D is closely linked to teaching activities, which allows university students
to benefit from a learning environment based on the real working life. Currently Centria
executes several projects with industrial and high-tech companies, where Industry 4.0
smart systems are developed and OPC UA communications can be used. Centria participated
in the OPC UA Online Workshop organized by Prosys.

and chemicals industries, including also the utilities and life science sectors.
Prosys OPC has worked with Neste to add the new OPC UA communication protocol to Advanced Process Control system and real-time process database.
In another project Prosys developed hard control and alarm switch support for training simulator system using OPC UA.

At the University of Antwerp’s Electromechanics test lab a research team has created a
flexible automation proof-of-concept. The setup is a lab-scale version of a soft drink
production plant (SMC IPC200). The test setup was successfully demonstrated at the OPC
Europe Day 2013 in Amersfoort. The soft drink plant can be easily reconfigured to
produce new products. The Prosys OPC UA Client SDK is used in the Easy95 and Android
based recipe designers. The PES uses the Prosys OPC UA Server SDK as well as the client
SDK.

Steria provided the traffic management SCADA system for the whole canton Valais in
Switzerland, including central monitoring and alerting in case of events in tunnels or
sections of the highway network of the Valais region. Prosys delivered OPC UA Java SDK
which was used for implementing OPC UA interface to the SCADA system. Prosys also helped
Steria to get started with the OPC UA development project by providing QuickStart
service.

Helen is one of Finland's largest Energy companies and they utilize OPC
solutions provided by different vendors. The new OPC UA definition enables secure data
transfer in all environments and networks. This will increase the popularity of the OPC
UA technology in the future, which also creates new educational needs, which can be
fullfilled with expert training. Prosys organized a customized training for Helen. A major part in the training was practical excersises, with which the
participants could also achieve precious practical experience about the subjects
included in the training.

information modeling capabilities. The KALKITECH ELTRIX suite, providing an intelligent
decision support system for energy utilities and consumers, utilizes OPC UA in its
communications.

Sinopec Shanghai Research Institute of Petrochemical Technology, a subsidiary of one of
the major petroleum companies in China, Sinopec used Prosys OPC SDK Sentrol to develop a
Real-Time Process Data Acquisition System for testing process of styrene evaluation
device. The collected data can be integrated with chromatograph analysis data, then
stored in the database. Communication of data acquisition devices is implemented using
OPC protocol, enabling retrieval of real-time process data and storing the collected
data into a database.

Prosys designed and developed with Adpap a recipe handling application, which is used to
manage the recipes of chemical processes. The application provides a web browser based
user interface for defining the ingredients, production units and process cells of a
chemical plant. The implementation is based on Delphi and Prosys Sentrol, a leading SDK
(software development kit) for OPC client, server and application development.

environments. Symboticware's platform offers bi-directionality, store-and-forward,
data-standardization and remote configuration capabilities. The SymBot platform is a
rugged, versatile and low power hardware/software device for monitoring and decision
support applications. It complies with open standards for industrial automation and
systems interoperability. Symboticware chose Prosys OPC UA Java SDK for implementing an
OPC UA Server to the SymBot platform.

KLG Systel Ltd. is a high-tech company quoted on the NSE (India) and the Luxembourg
Exchange, Europe. Connectgaia.com is the product of KLG Systel's R&D, a smart energy
management solution which provides user, whether industrial, commercial or utility, many
advantages through powerful reports and in-built control methods. When developing new
OPC UA communications, KLG Systel carried out Proof of Concept and selected Prosys OPC
UA Java SDK.
